These photos shows the AGROTEK crew from Radio TV Malaysia Broadcasting channel (RTM) taking a few shot and recording for the serial AGROTEK programme that was aired on July 2006. and also a Bumi Kita programme on TV1 RTM. They were making a coverage on our giant variety of chillies plantation called Kulai Susu which used the Fertigation or drip fertilizer irrigation technique in a village of Parit Ramunia, Pontian, Johor, Malaysia. Kulai Susu is a type of chili variety that can grow up to 25mm long. Despite the large size, it tastes hotter than the normal chillies. We have been asked by the crew to 'act' as normal doing our routine farming activities like preparing the fertilizer or nutrient solution and harvesting. We were pleased and excited when we watched the programme. a few days after the programme was aired, we got so many request from all around Malaysia to learn about our technique or the chili variety that we were planting.
To bad, we don't have the video copy of the programme. But something really surprise me after I accidently found in YouTube someone took a video copy of Bumi Kita programme of Malaysia's RTM1 channel through a TV set. Although the visual quality is bad, but at least we have something to prove. If you see a person with a wide farmer hat, that's me. My partner is the one in red, preparing the nutrient solutions in a tank. We also show the video from youtube of the Agrotek programme that was aired on RTM1 that covers other unique plantations in Malaysia.
